Canon 6D versus T3i

1. What is the difference between a Full Frame Camera and a Crop Sensor?
A full frame image has better quality and wide-angle options. Shooting in natural light is also better for a full frame camera. Also it doesn't cause a lot of image noise. Crop sensors are better for shooting nature, wildlife and sports.

2. What are five advantages of the 6D compared to a T3i?
Five advantages of the 6D are it's 20.2 megapixel full frame sensor, 1080p video recording, ISO range of 50-102400, 11-point AF, and its accuracy in very low light situations.

3. What makes the autofocus of the Canon 5D Mark III better than that of the 6D?
The autofocus in the 6D only has one cross-type where as the 5D Mark III has 41 cross-types allowing you to focus in more than just the middle in photos.

Learning how to import the right way, the hard way

1. Copy as DNG – Images will be copied from a directory and into a .DNG file format.

Copy – Images will be copied from directory to a specified location.
Move – Images will be moved from directory to a specified location. Option is unavailable when importing from a memory card.
Add - Files will not be moved or copied in Lightroom  instead Lightroom will add them to your working catalog. Option is unavailable when importing from a memory card or USB drive.

2. You can use "Make a Second Copy To" only on options Copy as DNG, Copy and Move. It will not work for add.

3. You have to follow the path to know where the copied pictures are going.

Having the guest speaker come and talk to us really opened my eyes. I enjoyed hearing how his career started and is blossoming into something great. He was very open with discussing his ideas and the choices he made. I like how he told us which major to take if we wanted to open a business and how he suggested we talk to a professional and not a friend about how our pictures are and how we can better them in the future. Some of the challenges he mentioned were getting and finding the right equipment to start off with. I believe that the lights are more important as a photographer. You can arrange them in ways to make it look night or day which is simply amazing. You can use almost any camera to take great pictures but you just have to have your positioning right. He said the first thing you should do is take a business major. Then that'll help you start career.
